The Borj Sud, also known as Burj al-Janub, is a historic fort located in Fez, Morocco, built in 1582 A.D. by Sultan Saadi Ahmad al-Mansur. Designed in the style of Portuguese forts, it is situated on an elevated site overlooking the medina of Fez. It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1981. It was part of a defensive network designed to protect and monitor Fez. Its elevated position, south of the medina, provided strategic visual control over the city, while its architecture, inspired by Portuguese fortresses, illustrates the exchange of military designs and expertise of the time.

Beyond its historical value, the Borj Sud captivates visitors with its exceptional panoramic view of the medina and its ramparts.
